Great work on the design and fabrication of the dash! Also like that you are maintaining the Pontiac identity. Always look forward to you updates.

just stumbled on this thread, great build on a cool project. real nice metal work. being a pontiac guy thou it really hurts to see that sbc in it. find an old rusty transam or old lemans of 70s vintage with a 400 and strip the complete drive train it will work perfect. i know your on a budget but u did just spend enough on that planishing hammer to be able to put in the right motor. ok im done trashin yer motor.....this will be cool even with the sbc in it keep posting. hope to get workin on my 2 39 pontiac coupes soon

That dash looks so good. Your coupe's profile is so spot on. I can't wait to see this thing in person some day.

thanks man. I am a bit upset with the 600's up front. I wish I had 550's. It looks goofy from the front view.

Well, shoot, post up a picture of it from the front and let us see for ourselves. I think it looks pretty good from that angle.

the tires look good in the pics but being there in person it mite have a different effect. you could see if some one mite swap for the 550 fronts if they really bother you but i would try the drive the sh t out of it till you wear them out aprouch .

Thanks guys. Not moving yet, finishing metalwork this month. Then starting on the chassis in April. Hopefully may and June I can do bodywork and drive by July/August.

Your ride looks awesome. I do a bit of fabrication too and admire your welding. Nice beads man. Pretty welds.

after dragging it home from the show in a snowstorm, it was rusting rapidly, so I had to epoxy prime it to lock it in. Still much metal work to do, but its black now.

put a strip in vertically to solve some door gap issues I was having.

starting to make sheetmetal inner door jams. I got both doors latching and gapping up pretty close which is awesome.

Nice! Might have to take a field trip now that the weather is improving. You don't mind uninvited unannounced guests, do you?

on your pedal setup did you use any type of bushing on the pivot point? Im using the same pedals on mine and was trying to think of what to use as a bushing.
