Pics and ideas for repairing E-brake cable tubes?

    I would love to see some pics and some ideas on how you replaced the ebrake tubes on 40 ford backing plates. Just curious if there are any tricks or slick ways to fix them. Thanks!

    Sorry no pics, but I replaced mine with a piece of 5/16 or 3/8 brake line tube. Cut out old one, carefully weld in new one. Don't remember if I put a small flare on the end or not. (it's been a few years ago) Been working great since.

    I noticed the original has a raised ring around it about a 1/4" from the end. thanks!

    I probably overdid it, but I used some 4130 tubing, flared the outer end, and brazed it into the backing plate.
