Sunday is here again in Australia, so ill start off this week with a couple of models that I have built and bought. And also some photos from my barris kustom photo shoot. There are more pictures in my profile album. So lets see what you are up to.
I posted this last week. Thought you guys might like to see it also. While at the NNL West I bought this Cord large scale model. It's not complete and some parts of the front suspension are broken. There is no rear axle no wheels or tires and no windshield. I'm not sure what I'll do with this "barn find". I have washed it so far, it was really dirty! I have one question about the Cord in general; what are the three bars attached to the chassis? more pics here: http://www.facebook.com/home.php#!/m...7795262&type=1 <!-- / message --><!-- attachments --><FIELDSET class=fieldset><LEGEND>Attached Thumbnails</LEGEND></FIELDSET>
This is one that I recently finished, I have been working on it off and on for about a year, it is the revel chopped 49 merc kit,I took it and sectioned the body about 3 scale inches below the body line, and then rounded all the corners. It turned out to be a much bigger project than I thought it would be, the interior, the engine, the inner fenders, radiator, everything was a huge pain in the butt! I painted it a custom mix of PPG pearl red paints with 3 coats of shop line clear. Jim
in the works 1929 roadster 1/8th scale it will have a blown flathead with aurdun heads working doors and trunk
This was the last Virginia showing for the Fish Inn. I'm not sure where I may bring it next : scrubba
I tend not to finish what i start here lately... But i made my mind up and going to finish this 25 model T i bought a while back. But i'm undesided about body color? The twin blowen hemi is from a Studebaker model.
Sorry worked all week on the full sized race car, which promptly broke on its first fire-up. Shoulda stuck with the plastic. Besides, all the projects going are post 65 anyway. We have a big contest coming up in Dallas on March 9th. The Dr Pepper Star Center on the NE corners of I-35E & I-635 (12700 N Stemmons) About 9am.
Some pretty nice stuff this week! The finish and execution at the Big Sit is really stunning! I dig the crazy roofless GTO with the Potvin. Wild! That's the cool thing about modeling - you can do anything... pscott, that's some pretty sanitary output you've got there. And finally, I'm a sucker for big scale ('though I don't do it myself - no room). The potential for detail and realism is so enormous. Looking forward to seeing more of that '29 A Roadster... I finished a '34 Ford Roadster race set including a scratch built trailer and a '40 Ford Sedan delivery just in time for last weekend's NNL West. the body is rresin from Chuck Meier at Altered States Models. Most of the rest is AMT '34 Ford 5-window except for the flathead which is from Revell '40 Ford parts with a resin 4-carb manifold and some Early Years Resin '97's. Thanx for lookin', B.
