How to make a COOL 3rd Brake light!!!!

***First off the speakers will be hidden********Chill out

Here is my attempt. I purchased from Mooneyes a PIPE ORGAN speaker grill cover. I then purchased some 1/2 in lexan tube off the internet and 5 LED lights from Speedway.

1st: cut the lexan to the angle of the pipe organ tube
2nd: drill the bottom of the lexan and insert LED flush in the bottom
3rd: wire the positives then the grounds together
4th: Wire into Brake light circuit

Different, is the lexan necessary? Wouldn't it still glow up a chrome tube fine without it?

 

Just going to use black vinyl with the typical small holes cut out to hide the speakers some. I am not going to use the stock grill covers. It will all blend in one done.

i think with lexan you can heat it and bend it and light will still come out of the end of it like those fiber optic lamps from the 70's

 

Very cool. Ive always liked this one. No idea what kind of car or whose it is, but i like it.

 

I wonder why two skulls?.... one would look cleaner IMO

 

Cause two heads are better than one...

 

Will look great in a Kustom and no one else has got one. Making your own ideas come to life is always better than reaching for the phone and credit card - well done.
