Put my front end together. My steering arm is hitting my adjustable spring perches. I read somewhere the resolve is to bend them. Can someone tell me how or show me a pic of how to?

    Thanks

Show us a picture of what you are dealing with. We don't even know what steering arms you are using.

Ok I'll take a pic tomorrow Its at my shop. Original 32 Ford axle and original 32 spindles Steering arm hits side of my adjustable spring perches. Bought an original set of perches but the shaft is too short to use with my 33 bones

even if your shaft is short, never admit to it publicly

Are you talking about the steering arm that is part of the spindle?

Picture of the problem is needed to solve the issue as mentioned! There are many posts on bending spindle arms as well.

    32-36 axle - 32-34 wishbone - 32-34 spindles....

should all work out with 32-34 spring perches without any problems

I bought 32 Ford spring perches to use tith my 32 Axle and 33 Bones. Length of the perch shaft is too short Can't screw the nut on the end. I bought all original parts to make sure it would all work but not the case. I ask questions again because I'm trying to figure it out but haven't yet. Most guys on here have helped me along and i appreciate all the help[ I will take pics ad post them. thanks

Maybe some threads were cut off because they were damaged from removal?

32 and 34 spring perches are the same. I'm setting my front end up now
32 spring perches 34 bones split a 32 axle everything just bolts together no problem. If your building a early car throw the adjustable perches in the trash. I would agree sounds like the original perches have been cut.

    I also agree !!!

I also don't think adjustable spring perches belong on any hot rod, especially a traditional one. Those parts are for the street rod crowd.

Just bent a customers stock 32 steering arm yesterday to follow the contour of the dropped axle and there is no way it would clear an adjustable perch on the drivers side. I used spring perch's from P&Js and everything cleared good. Perch was long enough that I used a lower bolt on shock mount that the customer requested.

  20. Pictures work so well, you should try it.

Here are the perches you mention, A on the left '32/4 on the right.

Also, dropped Model A axle mocked up with '32 spindle and perches, plenty of stub sticking out the bottom.
