Is there a front and a back to an original 32 Ford axle? Put my front end together . Sitting on the floor it doesn't look right.
Looks like the camber/caster woould be off. But probably because it's not under car and bones aren't positioned Im guessing
You've got to put it all together, under the car to see what you've really got. I don't know anything about your build,so I can't help a whole lot. The camber is built into the axle. Unless the axle is bent, the camber will be right.
Axle is straight Thank you for the help I didn't think there was a really problem. I'll get it mounted
The bolt is ground in a way to wedge in the slot on the king pin. With no king pin in the axle, the bolt will pass completely through the hole in the axle.
Whenever iv checked the camber on a stock axle its been excessive . like always around 3 degrees positive.
Like 296V8 said stock '32 axles have 2 to 3 degrees positive camber. Put the car together with the engine weight and check camber and caster. Both can be adjusted by bending the axle cold.
Now wait a minute.....if the axel has 3 degrees built into it (and we are to assume to the back)...wouldn't turning it around make it 3 degrees to the front...? or am I just goofy ?
