It's been a long, almost 11 year road, but I think we're in the home stretch.
We've been battling the EFI, and it almost kicked our ass.
I finally brought it to the shop, and had Randy Elber, our 5 year employee, and graduate of McPherson College take a look at it. He found a bad MAP sensor, and some things mis-wired. He then set it up exactly as the instructions told him to. Note to self, when all else fails, read the instructions. Granted, i think we had a case of some old guys [me included] not understanding the technology. Then i had Dale Cherry from the Injection Connection in Pa., come in set set up the parameters. It now starts crisply, idles fine, and more importantly, takes throttle easily. Once the snow clears, he'll set it up on the road with his lap top. It sounds awesome. The one down side is that the hydraulic lifters take a long time to pump up, I'd go with solid lifters if I were starting over. I'll keep you posted. This could be the year of the HAMB 5W's.
    Jeff, are you listening?

Sorry, hit the wrong button, and didn't include the pictures.
I will tomorrow when I get back to the shop.

  3. Glad to hear your getting close. I'm thinking we're both going to have a very good summer.

Jeff, I think he was talking to you. LOL...

Your car parked amongst the ones in the Background... reminds me of a Barbarian at a Garden party.

    Sweet baby Jesus!

  18. Kind of like Jeff Norwell said,
I think of a scene where someone walks into a room and all conversation
and action stops for fear, your car is that someone.
And what a nasty car it is!

  19. HOLEY MOLEY!!! Now that's a frikkin' hotrod!

That raises the bar even higher for us mere mortals! I'll sure never get to that level.

  22. It would be awesome to get our cars together. I'm hoping to make the Rodders Journal show in September - You?

I'd love to get some pics of the cars together.
