The year of your car

Discussion in 'The Hokey Ass Message Board' started by 1937 Fordor, Feb 20, 2013.

  1. The year of my car has now begun to intrude on my life:

    1937 Ford,
    Wrestling shirt # 37
    City Dog License # 37
    City Vehicle Sticker # 37
    City Garbage Can #.....37
Gloves marked #37 (so my co-workers don't get confused)

Have you gone out of your way to include your vehicle year on other items? I have.

That may be a little over the edge????

  3. I think you just might be a little obsessive!:D HRP

  4. I have a 37 Ford, but the only other thing 37 would be the original Plates on it. Besides, I can't play favorites also having a 29, 48, 56, 63, 66 and a 75

  5. Yeah maybe a little out of hand. I will take this time to point out that on the day I purchased my 1937 Ford, February 18, 2012, the day time high temperature for Chicago-Midway Airport was 37 degrees F on that day.

I'm afraid I get the same compulsive feelings about '32 when I get a number as a customer. Seems like the local Chuckie Cheese, Larry's Pizza, Backyard Burgers, Whatta Burger, and a few more are missing number 32.

  7. Do you also tend to hoard?

  8. Did you buy it at Chicago Midway Airport, or was this just useless trivia? Now if you were born in '37, this might make more sense ;)

  9. I'll admit it, it is just useless trivia. But I just can't help myself. The Midway Temp is good round these parts most of the time.

It is a new vocation; I have begun to hoard pre-war Ford parts.

  13. Trying to figure a way to respond that is witty and amusing but will not jeopardize any future employment opportunities. Haha.

  14. And then I smoked 37 more

  15. my buddy owns +12 cars and trucks that are all 1979. Not the greatest year, but he does have a sweet limo.

he is obsessed with 1979, much like you with 37

I'd say not to worry until you start to get the urge to get 37 tattoo'd on your nuts.

You just told a million people your passwords.:eek:
My birthday was in 1939 and I have a 39 Ford.
My wife's in 1941 and we have a 41 Ford.
Everything else is just because I liked them.
Still I'd take a 32 or 37 Ford no matter what the temp is at Midway tonight..

    Humm...I have a 47 Chevy & a 74 dodge. I have a 75 Plymouth & I'm going to be 57.

I'm afraid to go further

If I only had the winning lottery numbers.

  28. My high school football defensive end number was 46
The middle number of the SS number is 46
My semi-pro baseball number was 46
The number on the GTA motorcycle nrg-500 is 46
    I own a 46 Ford P/u

  29. That is not exactly accurate Jesse.

Calumet City, Illinois, was originally incorporated as West Hammond, Illinois; that was the name of the city until 1924 when the name was changed.
