Bizarre "top shift" style Eelco shifter to fit sideshift 38-54 Cad/LaS/ and 1950 Olds transmissions. Came from an old Gas Class Olds powered 37 chev coupe. The owner cut down the slip-on chromed handle. I also made a slip-on old Ford truck shift lever to fit it. Tiny paper "Speed Shift by Eelco" lable that was barely still glued to the shifter body, is shown also. Expand pic 3 to see the "EELCO Pat Pend" stamping
I see this is an old thread... but here are three Eelco bare foot shift knobs and you can also see the "el toro" shift knob on the shelf below. I love Eelco stuff and have a few more items and I also loves me some vintage Cal Custom goodies too (a whole other post.)

My Eelco coffin style fuel block on my J-2 tri-power setup. I have never seen another one yet. Bruce--Those patent pages are pretty damn cool. Simple and neat stuff. I really like the shifter handle. I may just have to make one for my project now after seeing that. Thanks
A lot of Offenhauser products had "PAT PENDING" on the castings. When asked, Fred would say that he had a pattern maker by the name of Patrick Pending who signed his work. Fred and Els were long time drinking buddies and sitting in on their sessions was a real treat,
Picked up an Eelco gas pedal at a swap a few months ago. Its got the the little feet on the back, Hangin on my shop wall, just 'cause its neat. Indy

Here is a very old kids T shirt I have, too bad about the stains. Front... Back.... More Eelco stuff....
My favorite Eelco part is this SBC oil pan. I ran it on my car for a while but recently took it off because it had no baffling and was very heavy. I wanted to keep the front end of my car as light as I can and I could picture the oil sloshing into the spinning crank on launch.
WOW Kevin.... Mighty respect to you & your collection! The hunt behind this stuff is fun also. Posted using the Full Custom H.A.M.B. App!
Tip of the iceberg... Lots of cool stuff, like the Eelco steering wheel puller! Posted using the Full Custom H.A.M.B. App!
Some look for tanks to put on their car. I collect tanks and then find and build cars to hand them on. Yes, I'm one of the Eelco collectors out there.
