Projects **** The Chemical City Coupe '32 5-window build thread ****

  1. I already have a pin-up idea brewing in my head based on your car...:D

  2. .

Hey guys sorry for the lack of updates.

Progress has been kind of slow due to waiting on the paint. Jo has been using his time wisely. He has been finishing up 2 other cars that will be at Autorama.

Check out this modified he buttoned up last night!

That thing is crazy cool!

The modified and the '29 sedan are finished so now it's all about the C.C. Coupe.

Should be lots of progress starting this week.

Oh boy this is mad! Nice build, looking into torsion bar rearend on the back of mine so great to see an install.

  4. That modified is another sterling example of how Joe 'gets it'...I have admired every car I have seen him build over the last few years...3 weeks and counting?:D

  5. .

It's in the booth baby!!! :D:D

I know, pics or it didn't happen...

Coming soon. Really, I mean it this time.

I'm as excited as hell to see it.

Looking forward to seeing the body on the chassis to see how it sits with that black paint slathered all over it.. I'm skipping Detroit this year so won't see it in person I doubt this year.

    Oh man... looking good!!

  9. I was at Joe's shop on December 1. How he has built and finished all three cars is totally incomprehendable. The modified, the '29, and your '32 ALL had a LONG way to go just 2.5 months ago.

Joe Kerr is a damn working machine.

Can't want to see the 5wd all done. I'm totally digging the modified too. Can't wait to mee more shots of it.

    Thanks guys.

I was also able to confirm the engine was fired on the test stand yesturday and the cam has been broken in.

We got an engine and a body!!!!

Nothin' holding us back now - WOOO-HOOOO!!! :D

You got that right, Harrison. The amount of work he gets done in a week is shocking sometimes. Truthfully, he would have been much farther along on both the modified and my car if the painters didn't take much longer than expected. It's my understanding that both painters had the cars quite a bit longer than originally planned. It's all good though as both cars will be done and ready for the show.

  14. Who's doing the graphics and when? going for magenta and aqua on this build? maybe a silver heartbeat to break it up..... ok that was fun...at least for me. I can't wait to see the car, especially the chassis.

Very nice build, you are making the car your own -- the history doesn't matter now, there is nothing left of the old car but some sheet metal pieces...

Hi to all I cannot help but feel the need to wade in on this convesation,
in the bigining I watched and read thinking what a lot would of thought "yeh a bought and paid for rod " hey I put my hand up here to as I was also a culpret of this.
I also am a fabricator and a DLI welder by trade as many may well be but I now can see and understand why some people would finance some one with such talent to build a rod for them, shit ! I don't think, no I know I do not have the artistick view shall I say or the fortought for such an interpritation for a rod. good on you man.

  26. .

I just confirmed that the body is being picked up tonight and brought back to Indy.

I'm dying to see some decent pics of the body wearin' black.
I'll post some as soon as I get 'em.

I gotta admit, I've listened to the nailhead video posted above about 30 times today.
I feel like a 10 year old at Christmas time.

Nothing on earth sounds like a BIG Isky in a Nailhead. Definitely has a sound of it's own. My buddy Dave says mine sounds like "A pissed off Bi-plane" :D

Tick Tock, Tick Tock..... Get busy.
