Every time I set out to wax a car, I finish one panel and then sit on my bucket for a breather while thinking, "Good god. I have eight panels more of this repulsive manual labor bullshit... What have I gotten myself into?" After a while, I pick mysel...

To read the rest of this blog entry from The Jalopy Journal, click here.

Fine looking car Boss and the results in repetitive manual labor in the constant wax on,wax off really shines in the photos. I think most of us want to see the light dance off the freshly polished surface of our pride and joy but lack the intestinal fortitude to spend hours to accomplish the results that you have achieved. I love the results of waxing, but I just can't seem to get to it. Well, that, and none of my cars have had a decent paintjob worth waxing.
Is that Riv hard to drive at that height? Any weird bumpsteer issues? I'm back to wanting to ditch my ponycar and getting a Riv again. I need an adult car.
Wow! The results of your labor and self-loathing look terrific! Now, for an adventure in real tedium nothing beats taking those Buick wire wheel covers completely apart for a thorough cleaning and polishing! Had a set of them on my old '66 Wildcat. They look beautiful but detailing them is a convincing argument for the factory "road wheels."
I'm no expert... But, my mom gets me a "care package" from Griot's Garage every Birthday and so I've taken a liking to this for many years now. It's good stuff... At least I like the results it gets me. And they are Alliance Vendors now which is pretty cool.
Looking good RC. I normally have to labor through the same shit only I have such shitty paint jobs it never does me any justice.
I was just pointing out that a paste wax out lasts the others, and the time spent before it need another waxing is well worth it...
It looks great. Beautiful color. Is that a "3 inch" drop? Mine was repainted at some point (I believe by Earl Shibe haha) But, it faded to a nice matte ice silver/blue. I'm thinking I'll have it repainted the same way. It glows instead of shine. Thanks for sharing Dave
Nice green, lots of metallic stuff! What are your plans for that front plate area? A HAMB tag perhaps.
Nice pictures Ryan! I was happy to be a part of this car. I can attest to how well this car drives because I drove it from Austin back to atlas. No bump steer and handles well. Posted from the TJJ App for iPhone & iPad
A skilled photographer wouldn't have shot a green car up against a green background... He would have positioned the car and the camera so that there was more sky and less ground. Damn me! To me, this is the only decent shot in the whole lot: All that said, I'm in love with the Fuji X-Pro 1... Best camera I've ever owned pound for pound and dollar for dollar.
