Took my little street car out for some track time this week end. Had fun shift'n gears and burning rubber, Then drove it home eating pop corn and listening to the AM radio. 105 miles round trip. and six 1/4 mile runs consistant 13.2 @ 102 mph . my car is a period correct build and if it was late sixties, I believe my car would be one of the top dogs. The decals are thin magnet backed for removal and no original paint damage

I favor the '65 SS body, since I had one. one of those wish I never sold. depending on condition, and if it has all of the SS parts, I would not over modify it. you can do stuff like I did - lucked out and found a fresh pro-built 327 blueprinted to the fuel injected Corvette specs for 365HP - ran a custom built Turbo 350. needed posi-traction.

This is my 64. I have owned for the past 10 years. Nothing fancy 230 split exhaust. Just a mild custom to play with.

  14. I know this an old post, but El Gordo, the Acadian is a Canadian Pontiac, just like a Beamont is not a Chevelle, but a Canadian Pontiac model. There has never been n Acadian or Beaumont produced in the USA. And yes the tradition continued much later with the rebadged Chevette and the Vega/Astra.

My avatar, only bigger. My son took this last Saturday in Tulsa. I think that was the 10.40 pass, earlier I ran 9.96 with it. My car is slightly modified....using mostly stuff you could get in 1966.
