Anyone know if the stock GM, Chevy, large body Electonic Ignition distrib. popular in the 70s will fit on the older TR1 tunnel ram manifold or will I need to go with a smaller diameter set up (points or electronic aftermarket dist.)? Small Block Chevy BTW

It could fit, however getting it in, our out, for service could be a problem. My firewall on my 55 limits me to a small body Dist. due to clearance issues.

  7. I have a 56 belair with a TR1X tunnel ram and stock HEI dist. wont fit because of firewall and the clearance of the actual raised part of the intake. Both aftermarket small distributors or converting an old points distributor with the pertronix conversion are the best two options for tunnel ram intakes from my experiences.
