So I normally do these track days with the MX5 or the Toyota 86 - but today decided to take the Cadillac out for a giggle.

Managed to successfully navigate the course without touching a single cone - so I'm really impressed with that. Definitely wasn't going to get fastest time of the day but it was good fun! Staying upright on the bench seat was really the hardest part!!

The TrueSpoke 18" wheels and Diamondback Radial Whitewalls have really helped the handling of the car. :) Other than that, she still has the stock suspension, stock drum brakes!!

    On with the pictures!

A bit different to the crowd :)

I think that MX5 might have a slight weight advantage...

Yep. Totally normal. Blends right in....

    Completed the Slalom stage:

Looks like brakes glowing red hot - but that's actually an orange cone on the other side of the car :)

Looks like it's up on two wheels here but it's just the body roll :)

    See :)

Sitting pretty at the track at the end of the day :)

  3. That gave me a car boner. Nothing... in my mind... absolutely nothing beats the looks of the '59.

That's the kind of controlled mayhem that's almost as much fun to watch, as being behind the wheel.

So cool. I love the body roll pic. Nothing like dragging the door handles on the ground!

it's amazing you didn't end up in the passenger side part of the seat after some of those turns;)

....although it explains what looks like a death grip on the door in one of the pic's...

beautiful car, those wheels look fantastic!

Staying upright was the hardest part! Bench seat and lap strap is definitely more suited to the drive-in diner than the autocross track!

    thanks :)

That's awesome man!! Looks like a bigger track at least, I've seen some that my wagon would have to take two point turns on!! LOL! But, I think that mine would drag the door handles! I guess I'll keep the Camaro for the twisties. LOL!
    Too cool pics there!

Maybe try following the link through to Youtube's page and see if a different quality setting works better for you?

    Thanks!
