Aw, come on guys! I won't pretend to be a naval historian, but... even the world's largest fleet can't be all at the same place at once - some are in the yards, and many others are on patrol or deployed around the world. I've been at large anchorages before (most notably Singapore) and the notion that you can get that many ships in such close proximity without damage as they swing on their anchor chains when the tide shifts is pretty unrealistic. They are also just too close together, too perfectly alligned and too similar not to be a giant cut n paste collage that was probably rephotographed for mass photo distro or made into lithos for books, IMHO. Do a search for June Palmer.

  5. I just googled her, wow! 38" bust, 23" waist, proud of her body and rightly so. She was a looker...

  10. You could check in with the CYA - they have a pretty sizeable Northwest chapter.

Never saw these statues on any of the A&Ws I know of in New England after1960 were they part of the A&W franchise decoration? When did they quit using them?

  14. I saw them at a large A&W in the Pontiac Michigan area, probably around '61 or '62. Not sure if they were authentic A&W display pieces.

  16. One of A&W's competitors, Richardson's Farm Dairy and Root Beer. Good stuff! The one in our area in the early 60s also sold milk and ice cream. Sit down inside, or drive-in.
