WOW did we get slammed last night. I have over two feet of snow and all the roads in Connecticut are closed. Very greatfull that we have not lost power as yet. Maybe a good time to put some heat onto my projects in the garage. Everyone else out there in the northeast come out OK
I've been through similar situations like this storm. Stay safe and hope you are prepared. Last time we had high winds from a big storm, our power was out for 10 days. It gets old and narly after the first 12 hours! Hang tough up there in New England!
Here in seacoast NH we got about two feet of snow, hard to tell as winds really piled it up. Guess it will be a while yet before I can can get the hot rod out of storage. Only good thing was it was light and fluffy to shovel.
Our last "big snow" was last year, we got 10 inches. Can't imagine living in that... Stay safe up there...
Over 3 ft at my house. No Rolling Bones garage party tonight for me. Posted from the TJJ App for iPhone & iPad
we got about 5 1/2" to 6 were I live & they Said we were to get between a foot to 2' of Snow I guess that Dome over our Parts Helped out in the Catskill Mts.
We got less than 2 inches in S.E. PA. It all mostly blew north of here. Good luck to the N.E.'ers and hope is all well with you folks up there. I like this NASA pic of this Nor'Easter brewing up, and the link below is a time-lapse satellite image which is pretty cool: time-lapse: http://www.nasa.gov/multimedia/videogallery/index.html?media_id=159534431
We were real lucky , only got about 1 to 2 inches.. Stay safe guys let the kids shovel that snow.. lol.
Here in upstate New York most people are used to this. Besides the damaging ice storm in the 90's we still have not had a good snow storm like the ones we had in 66 or 72 when you got stranded for days. In the 50's and 60's people still used shovels and we had to walk to school. I think I remember it was uphill both ways. Last night and today we broke some records and now have the most beautiful blanket of white that will probably be gone on Monday when they are calling for warmer temps and rain. After clearing my driveway I pulled my cars out of the barn to run a little in the fresh air. As much as I enjoyed the beauty of the snow, after sitting behind the wheel of my cars, I guess I am now ready for spring. For those of you in areas harder hit, be patient and be safe.
Cool 68 here....may have to wear a jacket when I go to the riverfront bar/restaurant for live music, fish fingers & beer afternoon snack
4-5" Just south of Trenton, NJ. Let a kid shovel me out for $10.00 Hope all you that got dumped on, make out OK Heard Milford, CT got 38" damn Stay safe and warm !
Just put 3 hours into clearing my walkway, driveway, and my neighbor's driveway (divorced lady w/3 daughters). About 30" all told. Problem is, the plows haven't even come down my street yet, so the road is completely impassable. Of course, when the plow does come, there'll be a 4ft berm at the end of my nice clean driveway. Such is life... Chris
Twelve inches here in Ridgefield, but it totally screwed up my plans to get to the Rolling Bones. Bob
Only about 7 inches in NW Jersey. Wind is blowing like hell thought. It only gets better from here less then two months of this s_ _ t left.
I would say 3 feet here. Street just got plowed. Great! now I go back out to dig out neighbors with the loader. The roofs are showing where they are.
