Thanks,y'all I really appreciate the feed back.Derek your next for a ride, possibly at D and D and for those of you that don't know what d and d is it's not dungeons and dragons LOL .To plowboy,my wife loves the car as much as I do.Im pretty lucky cause most of my exes wouldn't have put up with all of the finnacial ups and downs of putting a car on the road. Thanks Sheri!!!
Bob showed me a pick of this car at the Speed Shop last week and I love this car,is it yours?also I heard the story about the guys ashes.Intersting, down the carb and out the pipe would be the way I would want to go out...Anyways what a beutiful ride.
Aside from having a awesome survivor, Graham is a genuine nice guy. No attitude, just a class act. Good visiting with you at PnP and Dan's.
Glad to do it! I searched yesterday for the old autorama pic but didn't find it....I'm still hunting.
Im really excited about the pics.Their are some guys who stopped by Basse's shop and were talking about the car. They were around back then and have a car club that has something to do with the Autorama and remember the car..Anyways they are going to extend an invite to the car in February from what I gathered at the Autorama in Dallas where it first showed in 62.These guys are in their 60's and i would almost bet they have pics. But I still llove to see what ya got Fidgiter...Your pics are really cool.
i just got off the phone with sam, and he was telling me the story about the guys wanting it in the autorama! cool deal!
so was it sitting kind on top of a hill on the way to manor and elgin? kinda by a flea market? If so I remember seeing it sitting there in '98-'99
I TOLD you guys the autorama was getting better! I can't wait to see it there again, it truly deserves to be there. I've been told the custom cavalcade is going to be close to the um..."traditional" area. So it'll be easy for you to come in, see the cool stuff, and go home!
actialy it was on 183 and 71 on your way into Austin from bastrop. You couldn't see but just the ads end of the car comming around the bend before the Colorado bridge. Its all grown over now. When I drive by that spot I always remember that momment I saw her.I still can't beleive it ended up there and it was parked right in the middle of a bunch of be bugs so it really was screaming out "hey, save me".The place is called Autstin VDub.Anyways I can't wait to take her to Autorama.Even if the old car isn't all pollished up with perfect everything Shes still the Pearl.
its been too long... I might have my roads mixed up. I just remember seeing a 55 hardtop with packard taillights (must have been yours) and thinking it strange that there was a custom car just sitting outside deteriorating... at one point I saw the canted headlights too. I was in a different place then, just coming down off the pro street craze, pro touring, and music was all I cared about. things are different now. great car, I am glad you brought it back.
" You boys must have had fun last night? Keys in the ignition, beer and cigarettes on the seat"......... Bummy Joe , Denton Texas
wbrw yes I got your mail thank you very much.Sent you a pm.and yes I had a good time glad to see the car was holding my keys.A bum watched over the car all night so I gave him the beer and cigs he was happy and I was too and that's about as much of the truth I am willing to reveal LOL.James Hand was very cool. What a show.
