I recently purchased a 29 A coupe and was wondering if it is the norm for the doors to overlap the body to the rear quarter panel or if this has the wrong doors... I am new to this model A stuff please advise before I metal work the doors to fit flush.... Thanks
Yes, all Model A doors overlap at the quarters. I always thought it was strange that Model A's doors overlap, but their trunks are flush. Chevy's of the same era though have flush fitting doors, but overlapping trunks. You'd think one of them could have gotten it right.
Mass produced. If it is a work in progress get with Steele Rubber products and you can find some universal rubber molding that will help with the squeaks and leaks.
1932 they fixed that, with flush doors, moved the gas tank out of your face to the back and threw in a V8.....
