Now THAT sucks. The seller should honor that deal. I hope you reported him/her to eBay and left the seller some nasty feedback. That's horseshit.
I have sold items on Craigslist and people email or call and say they want your item, and you never hear back from them. I won't hold anything on a promise. I don't consider anything bought or sold until the cash changes hands. If you snooze you lose.
made 2 deals in the last 3 weeks which fell through because of the SELLER....and here i didnt want to deal with buyers!
If I had a dollar for every single person who said "Ill take it", hold it for me, etc etc etc. I would be a rich man. The losers ruined handshake deals for the honest people out there.
ebay sucks paypall sucks Long distance deals arent easy on the seller OR the buyer When I'm selling something I want the money yesterday It's not sold till the money is in my hand. I can't even count how many times a guy has called and said: "I'll take it" " "Its sold" "Can you take your adds down?" Then they come out and start the tire kicking routine. It's first come first serve. Put the computer down, hook up the trailer and hit the road!
Been there. With my brother-in-law. Made the deal among many witnesses. Thankfully, I have low expectations for him, so it wasn't much of a surprise. Still disappointing. I still poke him with that occasionally. He's all about the money. A gentleman's agreement means nothing.
I won't name names (but I would like to).... I have delivered parts to people on the HAMB who said they would take it, only to have them say they changed their mind when I arrived. The best/worst one was from a HAMB hero here (who didn't pay and I delivered the parts)... "Don't you know who I am!"
when that happens with me --buying or selling---one of us post a buy it now price and the other one clicks on it---works almost all the time---good luck on finding the right car
