Billetproof's 10th Annual "Motor City Mania' joins forces with the Detriot Dragway Reunion!!
What is better than traditional Hot rods and Customs? Hot Rods and Customs and drag racing!!! Billetproof moves to Milan Dragway on May 11, 2013 during the Detroit Dragway Reunion. All the best parts of the last 9 years of Billetproof in Michigan, now with a full day of drag racing. Your car show entry gets you, your car and one passenger into the show, the swap meet, grandstand seating to watch the drags and one pass down the track. Pit passes are $5 per person. Camping the night before the show/drag is FREE!. Spectators are $10.

well, you could have at Riverside Park. But there will not be any fishing at the track.

Just drag racing and car show.

I know for the billetproof part of the show we are only going to see pre-64 types of cars. But the drag racing will the same rules apply or am I going to see 77 camaros burn down the track the same day?

the Detroit Dragway Reunion rules apply to the racing, the Billetproof rules apply to the show.

so if a 77 Camaro or 70's funny car shows up and wants to race, they race... but they dont go in the show portion.

that being said... everyone that registers for the show gets a pass down the track... so while some of the Dragway Reunion cars are more modern, the majority of cars you are going to see going down the track are going to be Billetproof style, if not actual Billetproof cars.

Great Lakes Gassers will be running again and should have upwards of 30 cars. Thanks for working together to put both shows at the same location, I think its going to be a great show.

For the Detroit Dragway Reunion there is no year cut off. 75% of the cars in the past have been pre 69.

no year cut off for the drag cars, as has been mentioned most are of a certain vintage to start with...

Then consider that every car registered for the Billetproof Show gets one pass down the strip... and thats HUNDREDS of traditional hot rods and customs on the race track.

Author Charlie Morris will be at the Detroit Dragway Reunion and will autograph your copy of the Ford Drag Team book!

Ford expert and veteran drag-racing author Charles R. Morris has written the definitive book covering the members of the Ford Drag Council and Drag Team of the 1960s, perhaps the most important decade in Ford performance history. In writing Ford Drag Team, Morris performed candid, one-on-one interviews with Ford drag racing legends like Phil Bonner, Hubert Platt, Ed Terry, Randy Payne, Al Joniec, the late Bill Lawton, Drag Team captain Dick Brannan, and more. Morris also collected factory documents and race reports and scoured the earth for photos and statistics to document the full story of these drag racing pioneers. Ford Drag Team is your opportunity to get the true story, directly from those who made the history from behind the wheel and behind the scenes. You'll learn how this talented group of individuals from diverse backgrounds came together to make motorsports history that should never be forgotten.
