So it looks like I need to fab up some sort of a center console for my 61 f100 in order to hide some electrical components. A trip to the junk yard and pulling a factory item might not be the route on this, as Im not really a console fan...

Searching on here I did see one COOL console done with exhaust tubing and some trim. It came out really sweet, but I may need to access mine a bit easier since its holding electrical stuff.

What have you whipped up for your ride? What came in your ride? What'd you snag at the junk yard and adapt?

I am in the same boat. Need ideas.
Has anyone used PVC foam bord or epanded PVC sheets to build a console?

I don't have a pic but what about a console that fits between bucket seats fab'd out of two Y block valve covers. Use one as the base and one as the opening top. Fab a hinge that allows the top cover to open towards the passenger seat to allow access to the storage inside. Use two pieces of pipe as the feet and cut them to give the height you want...... I think the console would look great and functional all at the same time.

    Just an idea........;)

This is pretty cool! What is that door assembly out of, and what is the speaker surround material?
