Garage / Barn Find 1957 Eldorado Biarritz Convertible

Discussion in 'The Hokey Ass Message Board' started by NICKEYCHEVY60, Feb 6, 2013.

  1. I can not believe I got so lucky on this.I found out about this car in 1999.It has been stored in a guys garage since 1984.All he said was it was a 1957 Cadillac I had to walk on eggshells every time I mentioned the car to him since he was so secretive about it.I hadn't seen him for a few years as I had moved out of state. After returning I bumped into him one day and was telling him about my cars. He liked what I was doing & since one of mine was gold and also a 57, and an Eldorado AND a convertible and that I should have his.Now this was last year. I finally got to see it. I was smitten. It took a few months to work out a deal. Then a few more to get a deposit together. Well as of Jan. 31 it is now in my garage. I have it running & so far everything works but the dash lights & the convertible top motor. Paint is nice except for a few chips. It was originally blue and a single quad.We bled the brakes and one cylinder is frozen. I will post more as I go thru it.

2x4's  that breather is worth a mint let alone the rest of it, sweet find!

  26. As far as I know they were an option,Kelsey Hayes Sabres,,as a lot of these cars I've looked at had these, wires or hubcaps.

  27. It is missing 3 of the center caps and the exhaust outlet inserts.
