Big 3 Parts Exchange San Diego- Who's going??

Big 3 Parts Exchange is coming up in just a few weeks, February 22nd-24th at Qualcomm Stadium in San Diego. In my opinion this is the best swap meet for early Ford parts in Southern California... aside from the LA Roadster show.

Who's gonna make it out?? I'll be out there selling parts with my dad, look for the '36 in my avatar and say hello.

Ill be there if i can. I got a baby due on march 1st so that may dictate. Maybe next year we'll be haveing a birthday party at the Big 3.

 

Went last year first time- loved it.Free to get in ,only paid for parking.I am going.

 

Haven't been for about 4 years now so I'm gonna try like hell to get there this year!

Going on Sat. and then maybe even take my son who goes to SDSU to lunch but not to the meet - no interest unfortunately. BUT, this time I won't get there at 6:50 since it doesn't open to 8. I guess I was just used to Pomona's early opening time. Looking for flathead stuff and anything for a '40 Ford big truck. Always a great meet.

 

We will be there under the trolley drop off area. Look for the tires. We'll have all the great sizes out there this year along with some stuff we are pulling out of storage including a 52 Cadillac front fenders and misc parts.

 

Last year was my first time there. Spent the weekend with friends and we had a good time. Sold some stuff, bought some. Going again this year.

 

Taking the trolley from the Old Town station as it stops right at the entrance and parking is free at the station!

I'm there every year but for the last two I bought stalls only to have it rain. Last year wasn't too bad but the year before sucked. Always lots of good parts and if you sell then the parties run all night after the gates close.

 

can you drive a car in to sell?? or do you have to preregister for a swap spot or something....

 

There is a "car corral" that you can bring a car in to sell...I believe that the price on that spot is $25. Check the website for availability

 

One of the best swappmeets on the west cost, plus it's a great social event, everybody bar-b-ques in the evening and you visit all the campsites.

 

My dad and I will be selling in our usual spot, selling more than we buy. (Hopefully) Love this swap, always a great time and the Parties are a lot of fun too..

 

I hope thats not the same weekend as Winter Nationals in Pomona? got look that up.

 

No winter Nats are feb 14-17...

 

One of the last swappmeets you can find antique car parts and not a bunch of car wax , tools , hot wheels , used furniture and non related car stuff, I went to pomona last year and the place was a joke. In San Diego, we all save our stuff and bring it out once a year to the Big Three.

 

I want to, but I'm pretty broke right now. If I can scrounge up gas money, and a little extra spending cash I'll be there.

yep, Ill be there buying. All the stuff I should be selling, I just cant seem to load in my truck and put a price on- hahaha.

Been saving some of my lunch money since last year for this event... Hope the weather holds..
