D, thanks for starting this thread, watching your coupe turn into the bitchin lakes styled hot rod it is, has been a GREAT read. As has been said before, the car has a sinister look that is all business...VERY well done HAMBer! Your engine running would make a great ring tone for someones phone
It looked fantastic at the show! Congrats, and I hope you DRIVE it! Sent from my DROID device using the TJJ mobile app
HARV, thanks brother. It is something to see it all come together after 3 years. Your help with pieces of the build puzzle were instrumental!!!
Just got back to hotel after 3 days at the Big Show and just wanted to thank all involved in helping complete this journey. Special thanks to Rudy and his family, Kevin, Dominic and son, Gary and all who helped. Rudy has been an inspiration and a wealth of knowledge. He stuck by my vision and made sure it was done right. His craftsmanship is bar none in my eyes. Also wanna thank my club brother Jim B. for dragging me into this mess! Lol!!!
Nice Job, love the detail and thought you have put into this car... http://www.jalopyjournal.com/forum/showthread.php?t=770995
I forgot to ask you, Who did the paint? We really enjoyed seeing it in person and chatting with you! Best coupe at the show!
I just want to give props to my brother D ROD for his unwavering dedication to this build, from vision, to joining forces with Rudy(who is the man, BTW), to the amazing finished product. You deserve the accolades this car gets, it truly turned out amazing, good job brother !
Thanks Guys, Made some great friends this past week. Still would like to have met some others on here! Looking forward to driving around LA in June for the open houses!!!
Fantastic job making it across the finish line. If only I could get there. Wish I could see better pictures. All that black paint kinda washes out everything and I can't see it very well. How long does the car stay here on the west coast?
A finished hotrod comes from a picture you have in your head, some get it very wrong and well others just nail it. Man, you have great vision because that thing is friggin unreal, love it, absolutely screams HOTROD, congratulations for realising your dream. And as far as the wicked chop goes, if your got your seat back and low enough I,m sure it would be a buzz to drive, and your rear end setup is identical to what I have under my 33, and have driven it 60,000 miles on some of the roughest highways in Australia, and it rides great, and never tire of a whining quickchange, now enjoy it, looking forward to what you come up with next, because if your coupe is any indication, I,m sure it will be as equally awesome.
