bought this vintage pot metal toy GB yesterday, made a mount for it and bolted it to the radiator cap on my '27 roadster
Didn't see it here. Had a tow truck called Big Bruiser. Came with a sedan that had a crashed fender and flat tire. You towed it to the shop and put the good fender and tire on it. My brothers and I used to fight over who would drive it (push it around the floor). Been lookig for one for my nephew.
WOW! I thought I was nuts collecting this stuff, the wife thinks so anyway I have so many old tin toys I had to stuff most of them in boxes and store them away,I also have hood ornimates. All kinda of stuff. I have boats, motors, trucks, cars,Tin toys of all sorts. Can't find pics of most of it.
This is a picture of a rear engine dragster that I made out of an old Cox frame. It has a nitro burning engine.
I have painted the cars since ,,but i am just swamped with stuff,,the blue car was too cool with its retractable roof.
@RBAntique: I often see stuff in your posts that I also have in my own collection. Today was kind of a bumper crop: The Hubley (Packard?) cast iron racer with opening hood, the Dinky Maserati GP car, and Brownie Auto Race. Fun thread. In retirement and with limited income, I no longer look for new additions to my collection (mainly open wheel race cars and hot rods), but it was fun while it lasted.
Here's a few from my collection;these are mostly Nomads & Safaris with a few other wagons thrown in.The Buick XP300 has working lights and horn with tools & jack in the trunk.Made in the mid 1950's and is about 14" long. The Olsonite Eagle is a whisky decanter and very fragile.
Wow, I'm likin' this a LOT! Undoubtedly prewar German, it's a really simplified representation of an Auto Union GP car:
