Thanks for explianing your technique, we all do it alittle different, I ask because alot of the "how it was done" is lost in pictures.

    It looks great.

Started sorting out my exhaust routing I had planned through the rear bumper. I started with some ford tips that I bought off ebay and right away was not happy with the cheap chrome tips. The gaps werent right and they didnt match the shape of my pontiac bumper. Thursday I fabbed up a jig for the press at work to press some new tips out of stainless steel.

Here are the new tips tacked together sitting next to the cheap chrome ones that came on the ford pieces.

In the end, I ended up making my new stainless tips bigger than the ford ones as I felt there werent the right size to work with the bumper. Because of this, I had to modify the ford pieces to work with the new shape.

After loads of marking out and re aligning the tips, I cut bumper out to receive the new tips. The tips fit awesome and I am super happy with the look. I still need to cut the tips back to follow the shape of the bumper and build mounts behind. I am going to add a small flare to the top side of the exhaust cutout to give it that extra custom look.

    Thanks guys.

Thanks very much. Could you elaborate what you mean when you say a hybrid? Not sure I follow.

I wish Frank! Just gonna keep on fabbing.

    Thanks buddy!

  12. This is one amazing car. Love when you put so much effort in the small details hardly seen when finished but yet make so much difference for the end result. This is a really cool build. Kenneth.

You keep raising the bar higher and higher. You give me inspiration to pull out all the stops! But I'm thinking your bar is far out of reach!
Keep up the good work so I can do my best!

Working on getting my bumper finished up this weekend. My tips are welded and just need to be polished. Started adding a flare to the top of the exhaust cut out and started filling all the holes and metal finishing the bumper. Got the passenger side complete and should have the rest done tomorrow.
