If anybody has more Info on the last car, the dry lake racer with the IFS.:eek::confused::cool:

    I like it!

Even if people has pictures of Volvo Gassers, dragraced hearse or a low rider build out of a 48 surburban?
Things that made you go WTF, and then hmm cool.

    Bring your Best :)

  2. The first is "El Cabalo",,Ak Millers creation for the Mexican Road Race, about 1952

#2 looks like modified Chevy?,,,,real short wheelbase tractor to pull "Trailer Homes/Mobile Homes",,,neccessary because of highway length laws of the time.

    #3,,,Dunno

The shorty truck look like it's made out of more then one truck.
But even I looks at it and sees something new everytime, that is defenetly Oddbal, weird and a little cool. Just my 2cent.

That dry lake car looks like one I would love to build. Odd and yet traditional, at least it is with in the HAMB Time frame, with out of the box thinking (aka hot rod thinking) and some avalible out of the junkyard.

Ak Miller was one of my heros. He was interested in LPG and turbos. You may like my oddball blog: a 37' Stude 3-wheeler powered by a turbocharged LP fueled flathead 6 Stude motor.....

funny how the odd stuff always drifts towards studes and airflows---"odd" is like fat girls ---not a lot of mass appeal---or would that be appealing mass---

I think it's a little like coming across an auto accident.... sometimes upsetting to look at, but you can't stop looking.

    A Seagrave-powered 32 Chrysler should qualify:

How about a shortened, narrowed, flathead powered WWII gun carrier? Oddball & goes like stink --- anywhere! ( It is tidied up now. The pictures were after coming out of 30 years in storage.)

  15. I got a '61 Willys pickup with a small block (originally done in the '60s). Pretty oddball but nothing to compair with any of AK Millers stuff.

    Trebb 11,
That blown seagrave is cool. Ya had it running sice the pics were shot?

Gold bulldogs on Mack trucks mean it has all Mack running gear (engine, Trans , rear ends) chrome bulldog means its not all Mack, has a different motor ( cummins, Detroit diesel, caterpillar) or Trans ( fuller. Rockwell , eaton) or rear end.

My dads 72 datsun pickup had a Mack bulldog on the hood. I seem to remember being able to buy those things all over the place. I vote Studebaker as well...

True, assuming its actually on a Mack, rather than some cobbled together, hunk of happy horseshit. Then all bets are off...

Buddy that comes out to the local cruses is the king of Odd Rods.
He takes a cool body and a modern wreck, builds his own frame to make them work together.
He builds one every other winter - he's due for a new reveal this spring.

    ^^Oh, oh, this aint good...

  30. I don't see a single thing on the stubby trailer tug that even begins to suggest Studebaker. The cab is wrong, the fenders are wrong, the hood is wrong. The front sheetmetal looks to have been cut off and flat pieces welded in to loose as much length as possible in order to run within legal length restrictions. Note how the bumper is flush with the nose
