Anybody got a good part number for a rear axle bearing for 1957 ford 9 in. all Larry Curly & Moe auto parts has is a computer, they don't have books?
wow, couple seconds with NAPA online, I used a custom 300 as the model http://www.napaonline.com/Catalog/R...ty=1&Ntt=&N=599001+101957+50026+2026042+28090 should be able to do this
9" Ball Bearing 9103 1.378 x 2.834 RW-207CCRA Ball Bearing 9104 1.531 x 3.150 88128RA Ball Bearing 9105 1.531 x 3.150 88128RB-R
You'd think so, but then again the page you listed doesn't show the axle bearings - just the Pinion and Differential bearings
Wheel bearings are under brake parts, not axle parts. http://www.napaonline.com/Catalog/Result.aspx?N=599001+101957+50026+26475&Ntt=&Ne=25000&Ntk=Keyword
Aint that dumb ! Napa shows a 2-peice bearing that will not work, plus I need the seal also. Ford part nubers B7az-1225b and B7a-177-a just need these crossed to a current part no.
Is it a large bearing 3.150" od (1/2") bolts on the backing plate, or small bearing 2.834" od with 3/8" backing plate bolts? Small bearing GRW 207CCRA Seal OS13738 Large bearing G88128R Seal OS 15141 These numbers are from a SKF catalog. Hotroddon had you on the right path, you need to determine the bearing size, and go from there, good luck.
