I got 76 Passes in at the track last year all of them wheels up and 2000 miles on the road last year some of them wheels up went to a bunch of Cruise night and a bunch of car shows and just had a bunch of fun with it all year long. And it always gets a crowd of people around.

My husband and i were very lucky to become good friends with Pork. He had a great time driving our car on a couple of occasions. There will never be another Filthy Forty.

  24. Here's what you are missing, you weren't around for 1960-1970 drag racing! NOT trying to sarcastic at all, just one of those "you had to be there" things. Gassers, REAL gassers that is ( and most "gasser's today aren't) were once the fastest, quickest street driven cars there were. The look reflects the time, most consider it the Golden Age of drag racing.
    :)

Agreed. I'm envious of those who got to actually experience it.

I guess tire technology has changed the stance of gasser from what I can read between the lines.

The early ones posted look awesome, but the newer ones while gasser in style seem just to sit high and run mostly a straight front axle but just dont seem to have that huge reverse rake like the early ones did.
