Joe this is the one that was in Hubbardsville, John Knecht had it up for sale. Damn : I too snoozed (really had the Flu) and didn't get to that body in time. Good luck with the build. VR&C. [/QUOTE]
Engine and trans are bolted in, I cut all the seat crap, cross rails, and toe board supports out of the body this morning. Sheesh... someone sure liked to braze stuff together! I need a 40-48 torque tube with a nice greasy center bearing in it... anyone close have one??
Hey, Andy - lookin' good! I just might get the chance to see this build in person as I'm working on making a run to B-ville this year in the roadster with the Bones ....
Excellent news, Tom! You know, I found an email from you today, in my spam folder! I'll call you up this week and catch up...
Smartass i dont need one that long, it just happens to be what I have laying around so I was going to cut it. If you had a shorter one that would work with my toploader and 47 rear I'd swap.
Dang it, Andy! Now I have to hurry up and finish my sport coupe so you don't put me to shame! You have an awesome start so far.
After the coupe build, the roadster looks almost too easy. I can already see your looking at any excuse to cut up sheetmetal! Must be nice having a shop! No more neighbors giving you the stink eye! TP
X-member/floor pan supports... and I started beating the nose into shape.... somewhat... Also, picked this up for the dash.
I should have paid YOU the $5500 for my ex's nose job. Yours already looks more attractive. Probably cooks and cleans better too. Sent from my DROID device using the TJJ mobile app
Thanks man, yea front brakes will be installed. Ha! thanks Leo. I still have one to go, the two I opened up will both definitely need carrier bearings and races, pits... scores... I haven't removed the pinions yet but they both feel nice, hard to say. Yea, I used some old '40 rods to repair them, cut em down real short.
Got a few tips from my pal, ace metalshaper SuhrSC and this thing's lookin a little more like it should! Thanks bud!
