Rick, what's going on haven't heard anything about the build, assembly of the frame / running gear. Is the project going to make the March deadline? There are a number of us willing to help let us know what you need!

Sorry for not posting more but I am really putting in time on all the boring stuff to get the Sedan done. Mostly painting the small pieces and getting the odds and ends ready for assembly.

I can't believe the 30 year old paint is still good. Lucky me!

This is what happens when your wife takes the pictures:eek::confused::eek:

Dale- The picture is to prove a point. Painting is so easy that I can do it standing on my head or on the side of a wall.

  9. Rick,
What type, how much drop and how big are the holes in the axle?
    Thanks for the update!

Hey Rick! Well, I can say for sure yours is a much better photographer than mine! At least I can make you out and you aren't posed in front of some Chinese Idol of some sort... Ever try to identify a blurry Budda?

    Brett-
21 1" holes. I believe it is a 4" drop. I'll check with Pete tomorrow to see if I'm right. He's at the drag races this weekend with the "Old Master" dragster.

I stopped by Rick's shop this afternoon to check on the progress of the E & B sedan and found Rick hard at work painting spring leafs. Not too many pieces left for finishing/detailing ... Rick said that the goal is to begin assembly mid-week. A few of Rick's friends came by while I was there ... interesting guys to meet. There doesn't seem to be too many hot rodders in this part of the world (or at least L.A.) that Rick doesn't know !!

Here are a couple of photos to keep 3W Larry happy for a day or so.

    Philly-
As a matter of fact, John did teach me a few things. The one that really sticks in my mind is that I will never be the painter he is! That being said, his tips have definitely helped. He is painting the firewall while I am posting this.

It's all set. We start assembly tomorrow. Yippee!!!!

  19. That's awesome!! I know that you've been working hard on the car, and hopefully the assembly phase will be the fun part. It sure beats the hell out of cleaning, sanding, painting, and polishing.

Did you ever get around to spraying the body?

  20. Wooo Hoooo!
Thanks for the axle info Rick.

Didn't have a photographer today but Pete and I got a lot done. The front and rear ends are in and adjusted and it's ready for the third member and brakes now. I'll post the pictures later tonight.

Here are some pictures. Notice the orange urethane bushings. Thanks to Pete & Jakes for finding these for us. All bushings are now black.

What do you think, did we get a lot done today?

    Bill-
Thanks for posting the pictures. They look much better than what I can do. I better wipe off the extra grease we used in the assembly because your pictures are so clear they show everything.:)
    Thanks again!
