Saturdays run started at RAAF base at Point Cook as Frankie mentioned , this little Roadster did it for me ....





And this Sweet little number won the Church Magazine 'Roadster Pick' .............well done Gomez ! And he was proudly displaying last years run Tag ...........







Once all had arrived and old friends were reunited we talked some more Hotrod , had a chance to look through the RAAF museum which was cool we registered , handed out directions to the first checkpoint and lined up to be Marshalled off in front of the vintage Offices Mess building .........then on the road too hear the sweet sound of pipes and Quickchanges ..........

And some more .........as I had a Photgrapher on board we got ahead of the pack after the first checkpoint and found a place to shoot some pics ..........

This coupe won the Kustom Ink 'Best Coupe' award ...thanks Pedro !!

Then, after another checkpoint and another direction sheet we finished the drive with a run back into town and to our destination , a WWII Hangar containing a B52 Liberator Bomber being restored by a dedicated team on Donations only , they gave us tours with a guide relaying some fabulous stories of bravery and heroics and of the restoration itself .........

Sunday we headed up to Rancho Deluxe where Ben kindly put on Breakfast and hosted a very relaxing finish to the weekends events .....








Thats about it from me , didnt get as many pics this year however there were plenty of photographers there so there is a good mix already on the site !!!

 

Great write-up and Great Pics!!. By all accounts and reading this thread, it was a sensational time.

With any luck I'll be there next year.... just to balance the Coupe numbers against all the Roadsters.

Well done to all the organisers, I'd imagine it was one hell of a job organising it all, especially involving such cool venues.

The fellas at River City sure know how to run a fantastic event. It takes a bunch of guys that live and breath the life to organize an event so cool that it almost leaves each participant involved speachless.
Big thanks to Thommo, Greg, Doug, Frankie and the boys for an outstanding run where for a day at least we could live the dream and soak up the sun, blasting along the road enjoying the sights!

Thanks to all involved, from the organisers, the supporters, the participants, as it was a AWESOME weekend, certainly alot of fond memories to cherish, and despite still getting over the lack of sleep and wind/sunburn, looking forward to the next....

Great coverage of an obviously-great event. For those that can't tell by now, these guys flat-out rule!!!!
