    We'll see how this unfolds,
    Maybe just a rumor

  6. I've heard from more than one person that cars are "sold" between dealers pumping up prices hoping one of us outsiders jump in. Ever notice how no one ever shows any excitement winning a car?
Last Fall at a televised auction there was that "one" guy who jumped up & down whooping and hollering after buying a car, probably a real buyer for once.

  7. If the deal fell through, it would be bad for the seller but an ABSOLUTE DIVINE INTERVENTION OF RELIGIOUS PROPORTIONS for the buyer.

That would be like getting convicted of capital murder with millions of witnesses who saw you do it, but you got off scott-free.

I'll bet Rick Champagne has totally quit drinking and partying is probably in church right now as we speak.

  9. The guy was willing to pay 10 million for it, so it can't be a money issue. Right?

I saw and stated the same thing, even saw a long dent in the right side door down low. Another reason to return it back to the Futura as it should be!

A couple of months ago I was driving down a backroad way out in Oklahoma and saw a 66 Batmobile coming at me.
Looked on the internet when I got home--found out there are hundreds of those cars in America and some copies that went overseas.
Bruce Wayne is my real name

I spent 7 hours yesterday at GNRS, never heard any rumors. But I did stay at a Holiday Inn Express.

  18. Hmmmmm.....

    Let's see......

Now where did I put that 4.6 million dollars???

    I got it here somewhere.....

  19. Yes, I saw that one last week too. It was pulling in for gas at the station on the corner of Rancho California Rd. and Jefferson. I was wondering what it was doing there. I'm assuming it's probably not the $4 million one. It was kind of cool to see it driving down the street though.

Kinda like the Bugatti Veyron deal falling through a couple years ago and Craig Jackson stepping up and buying it.

i know someone who registers every year, and i believe your bank account has to be verified, for how much i dont know, but on the sellers end, if the correct paperwork is not there, the buyer does have away out.

Amazing how a rumor "from somebody" can light a fire running three pages on this forum.

Who cares? Does the deal (possibly) falling through have anything to do with traditional Hot Rods or Customs?

This thread will hopefully get locked down like the rest of them.
