Bear with me cause it all sounds OT. Father-in-law wanted me to go shopping with for a new truck. After a few days of trying to figure out what he wants we end up looking at a 2012 Titan with 429 miles. His current vehicle is the same truck ,same package, same everything just six years older with about 90k miles. I figured he would get decent trade-in value. As we are talking numbers with the finance people he says "work up the deal with 5 grand down and no trade in.". After the deal is done he gives me the keys to his old truck. Says he knows my beater of a daily is not letting me work on my old cars(1950 Styleline and 1959 Apache) cause it's always breaking down. So now I can put a little more focus on what I really want to be driving. Even when it's hard life is good.
Spent the day detailing my gift and getting the garage cleaned up. All I need is a few more things to start getting ready for an engine transplant,,,,,so eager.
Wow, congrats to you. I guess you treat his his daughter right. I think for the most part, father -in-laws, get a bad rap. I'm happy to say I've got a great one as well.
