Yes,Carl,you are absolutely right about that.Didn't know you had NSU cars in Southern California...Working on other projects for some time,now.
Finnished the front doors and oiled all the wood several times so it stays stabil,I hope.Had to store it in the neighborhood.Still waiting for the spare parts for my sewing machine,so I can make the interior.Plenty of time,spring is a couple of months away.

Awesome work!

 

First test of the front seat.Couldn't wait any longer for the parts to my walking foot machine,so I fired up the old one and started with the interior.I think the fabric suits the car,but thats me.
One pic of the forty that gave up its garage space for the woodie....

 

the seats look great .... you can ship that 40 to me .. to make room in the driveway...

Now its got carpet and paint on the last part.Completed the sewing and even managed to hit the neighbours fence with the left front fender.

 

Ouch! Sorry to hear that. (Stop driving in the snow without snow tires!!!)

I have never been a fan of "phantom" woodies but yours is nicer than some factory cars. Beautiful work especially the finger joints. Man I can't wait to see the finished product!!

 

I don't know what to say about someone who has this much talent. It makes me want to close up my garage and walk off into the desert or something. This really came out great. Beautiful work, man.

My ancestors are from Bergen and Oslo---carpentry was Grandpa's thing too, but not to this degree. Outstanding!

From lapstrake boats to a Ford woodie , my how the old Viking spirit is stirred! You need to change the hood ornament to one with a carved figure on it to complete the circle. Otherwise, I'm with the rest of the crowd on this one, you are an artisan of the first water with some steely stones, or perhaps brass ones because you stayed the course and made it out to the edge of the world and back, bringing home some of the monster to prove it. Quite a feat. No detail left to apologize over.
