Great photos Ryan! I think your photography is much better than you often give yourself credit for.

Your car is going to look like a Buick razor in a sea of Toyondazuki bubbles! Nice.

My old truck has all kinds of 'loose' stuff on it. :) Doesn't look near as sweet as that ride though.

That matches my philosophy exactly. Unfortunately, it seems like everyone thinks that old car owners want mile-deep paint and are only interested in trophy accumulation.

  19. Now that you've had the '65 for a little while, I'm curious what the differences are in it compared to the '39 that was your daily. Any big initial differences that come to mind? Say, in terms of handling or road manners? Any preference between the two?

Both cars are just terrific. Tough choice in the morning as to which one to jump into....

The Riviera is like cheating. It's like driving a new car relative to the '39. Very cushy, very comfortable, handles well, runs hard, etc... When I'm tired after a long day and just want to get home, I much prefer the Riviera to an early Ford. However, at times... The early Ford was just more exhilarating to drive. It was more pure... ya know?

I will always be an early Ford guy first. That said, I've always loved these Rivieras and can't get them out of my system. I just love the way they fit me...

Cars just simply improved a hell of a lot in the 25 years between '39 and '65. Apples to oranges really. Go for apples one day, oranges the next.

Nice results from the paint and body. Subtle. Obviously the up coming wheel treatment will give it a elegant-finely finished look. The aged film be cool. 2 layers of sound deader and your ride will be even more push. Can the front lower control A-arms be stepped 1" or 2?

Looks great - lack of outside mirrors worries me though.

Some places that will get you pulled over/written up by a cop. And changing lanes becomes a touch riskier.

  27. Looks great. I really like the color. I couldn't drive it though without dual side mirrors, Id be a nervous wreck.
