Looking good, I had a grill for you for about 20 years too..... Definatly one of the worst days for me looking back was finding a dumped Merc out back of where I worked in the Late 80's was too young to be able to stash it anywhere and didn't know the folks I would later in life who would have turned up in double quick time to rescue it !!! no idea what ever happened to it, can't have been too many in NZ at any time.
You are right about the lack of Mercs in NZ. My original '49 sedan I had back in the early '70's was found stashed in an old barn in Longburn just out of Palmy. Turns out the original owner was Keith Holyoake MP Parliament buildings Wellington.
not sure if i wanted to post this but in the interest of safety, had a fire which could have been way worse, lost a tyre and some wiring but now back into it, also have been flat out on Prestons truck which is almost done in the chop and slop shop. be careful out there in home shop land.
Sunny i therr such a place at the moment in nz? Very nice chop and i love the truck any more pics of that colour is great Posted from the TJJ App for iPhone & iPad
Yup yes yay, heard a lot about how cool your merc looked from other mercophiles, now I've seen it it will sure rattle some cages when it gets on the road. Go the flatheads, smoke and all.love it. We are trying to get motivated to do a t coupe similar to yours I guess , no chop ( yet) but severe channel 5" from the tar seal and yes flat powered.
T coupe sounds cool, wish i could have kept mine and a couple of other cars ive had, but the Merc is a keeper!
