I just realized you might have actually meant the steering box im using and not the box of honey nut cheerios . Sorry about that, the steering box is from a 68/69 mercury cougar.

Yep, Plastigage, probably no the best way to do it, but it worked. hope to be finishing the short block tomorrow night, and the cage should be done in the next day or two. more to follow.

My bad as well. I have a bad habit of leaving words out. Even after proofing my own words I still get it wrong. Whats even worse, I speak to people the same way. I'm like head lights to a dear in the road at times to people. Oh the blank faces I see at times ;):D

Well kids this is what we call ZERO deck height, she will either make big power, or big boom, followed by a spray of parts into the next county!!! Wish me luck!

Zero deck ain't the issue, it's that exhaust valve to piston issue that I hate. Looking forward to a Play Dough test picture ;).

Are you going to vent the cell to the trunk floor with a bulkhead fitting when it's all done? I noticed you had a filter on the cell before?

The rest of the progress looks great

Yeah we were talking about that last night. When i bought the car it was someone else s project, they had a lot of stuff cobbled together just so they could drive it on the road(they never raced it) I plan on having everything NHRA legal. I want to do a lot of racing this summer and not be tied up in tech inspection lol.
