I bet all the folks who lost a job this week were well impressed seeing some mega rich person wasting $4.2 million dollars on a freak car to put in his living room.Am I right in thinking that there was more than one "original" bat mobile, because there was one in a museum not far from here with a bat mobile with George Barris build tag on it as well as the Munster coach and some other cars from movies and tv shows.

There was only 1 original Batmobile made from the Ford Futura show car. That I beleive GB paid a $1 for. At some point in time the demand for the batmobile was so great that molds were takin off the original and 3 fiberglass copies were made. This car that just sold would be the only original steel Batmobile

I think the redo spoiled the car. It didnt have bad paint, or those damn reflectors on the parking lights--I could go on. I think Barret Jackson is a new reality tv program. Thank goodness I dont waste time watching it.

I have a body out of the Barris Mold. When I get the space to build it, I will do it right and put a Cammer in it.

 

I'll bet for a few more $$$$ Adam West would come over to entertain. I new a guy who's job was to escort him when he appeared at custom car shows, he was quite the horn dog. Mark
