Here are a few that I have done for customers. For my '50 Ford, I copied the Chuck DeWitt tail lights because I love the look...

my 50 has lights just like the ones FINNRODDER showed, they are stock trimrings molded to the body. Gives a smooth look without that thin lip look

Thanks. I did them when I chopped the car. They are '49-'50 lights in a '51. I made the opening out of rod and made everything fit. I made the light fixture mount from the inside with some studs welded on.

Thanks for the specification,i always thought that they were 51' lights.
I've been thinking changing the lenses for something else, like Lee lences products or something.
But that just a thought so far.

I know that 50-56 regular Cadillac fins have been done, but what about 55-56 Eldorado Fins? It'd be different. Heck, you could even do a 57 Chevy, not just the fins, but the whole rear end together. I don't know, just throwing out some ideas.

By far my favorite is Swedeshoebox's with the 51 Olds 98 tail lights. I also liked Finnrodder's tail light treatment with the addition of extended quarters. Both clean and simple.

The '51 Olds tail lights are awesome. Not too much, not too little - looks like it came from the factory like that. Wish I had the talent to do it on my '50.

I replaced the stock lenses for a Lee Lense style-lenses.
I thinks a better with the bubble lenses:

    Not Conway Twitty's. I believe that's Junior Conway's Shoebox.

  27. Removed the seams on the rear quarter panels but still wanted a more edged look to compliment the edge on the front fenders that floats perfect with the frenched 52 Ford headlight rings.

I'm pretty sure they are 54 merc tail lights turned upside down, the upper section (now the lower section) is probably just hidden behind the sheetmetal.
