Then we did a few body repairs and changed the colour to satin silver.

Then I made the mistake of going to Motorex (Australia's Premier indoor show) with my brother in-law (pinup65) and the Eldorado's. In the group of approx 30 people we had 3 49-50 Chopped Coupes. During the 16 hour drive to Sydney and the remaining 3 days the conversation between myself and brother in-law centrered around my business coupe and what we could do to be different to all the others. The idea of sectioning was tossed around, after arriving home and speaking with Mark at Car Guys Garage, thats when the build took on a totally different direction. The car is now well on the way to a Full Kustom.

We started with a 2 and 3/4 inch section of the body

Then we lowered the rear wheel arches 4 and 3/4 inches and reprofiled them at the same time.

Nice job. I really like the dropped well arches. any thought to getting the tire off?
I have a hard enough time with my stock wheel openings, it would be impossible if I lowered them, without removal of the shock and maybe spring.

    I love the look

  21. Love to see a subtly sectioned car - and shoeboxes really need it.
