Here's an oldie that I use for our vintage trailer. Has the OG owners name tool'ed inside. Ol' Ray was a classy Cowboy.
I remember dad throwing me the keys. Flip out that ignition key and snap the leather key chain holder flap back in place and then smile, because you were ready to get behind the wheel of the family cruiser. I can almost smell the leather!!You never forget the feeling of the first car you drove and I guess you never forget the first leather key chain either now that you brought it up Ryan. Thanks for the memories.
Very cool thread. I just looked at the link in Ryan's entry and realized that a lot of those vintage coins, medallions and fobs could be embedded in a custom shift knob. And at the risk of sounding too self-serving, I know just the company that could do it. Just a thought.
Well... I made a resolution this year to be much MORE positive here on the Board and there in the shop and these key fob wallets are such cool old time charm, so I positively want one! ...and those H.A.M.B. Gearshifter Knobs, are sooo positively last year anywayz By the way, I didn't say that I would stop being so gready, I'll take 2
I've liked them too, but I'm kinda weird.....all my keys are separate. My car keys are on their own key rings for each car, my house keys are on their own ring and so are my work keys. Each car has 1 fob on it which coincides with the year of the car. Here's some of the left overs: I don't have one for the '64 so I found this: I did find an old Chevy dealer on from Arcadia and I have my Grandpas one. His is the size of a credit card, holds 6 keys and has a pocket for money.
Only found HAMB today by way of the peel & seal discussion. Now I see this key wallet and had to join. I'm sure a bunch of the other younger(1966-1977) guys would want one of these for their trucks.
Sooooo...when are these available? Do Alliance Members get first dibs? Sorry fellas, but I'm gonna be selfish here.
I like the ones given away with your new car. The one with the 50s Ford crest holds the keys to my 56. I just missed one from our local ford dealer.. now defunct... Palmer Ford. The earlier one has my 34 P/U keys.
I do like this idea. I'd be down for two or more. I think the distressed or aged leather look is downright awesome. If you did a distressed black, you'd make me have to buy a few more. On another note, I hope we never refer to these as the "Hamb Wallet".
'Lesbian arrangements' That term just completely turned my day around. thanks. oh and I dont want one.
This is the Wallet in my 33 Fordor Vicky, you can still see most of the print along with the Old Style alphabetical Phone Prefix,
