You have to do an introduction before you can post any pics.

Got going with the drivetrain this past summer. Upgrading brakes and rear end now and going back to solid steel wheels.

I like the look and stance of your binder. Are your doors factory? In the states those would be off of an L or S model

yeh they're the standard doors, over here all the L's R's ans S's ran same doors
don't reckon i've seen exposed hinges over here...
then again they're all same cabin, and genrally not many S's here at all, if ya see any you normally see the L/R's
On a side note, also like the look of yours, always used to come up on 56 Inter image searches when i was building this one...
Mind you, there's never really been any other options for the build
SLAMMED, STOCKIES, V8...has always been the way! hahaha
you got a build thread on here??
and what you running in the green

Sadly I didn't take a lot of pic's while building, hard to hold torch and camera at same time. It's just a bellybutton chevy in it. I'm surprised it came up in searches as I've looked in the past but never seen it. A friend did post it up on youtube a while back but I can't even remember what the title is under. I wish I had your doors as vent window rubber is plentiful for L and R, not so on the larger S window.

Cool old binder. Is it a '56? The '56s here in the US did not have dual back windows.

i think here it was pretty much get one change fenders n headlights...
our dash is loads different to yours also
sloped with ribs, where as US ones are stright up n down...

Lynn Faeth at Scout Connection has done more than his fair share of IH. They do top notch work and they have access to most parts.

Timmyd, was your engine originally red? or silver?

There's some debate on another site on which color is correct.

Here is the 68 my parents had when I was younger. It had an aqua interior, 345 with 5 speed od and a big rollalong slide-in. We used the truck all over the place. Towed an old 70s Rogers jet boat to the river and sand toys to the desert. Wish I could find this thing. When my parents sold it in 1994 it had 72k original miles on it.

  29. I am pretty sure I have seen that truck or one like it recently either on craigslist or one of the IH Forums, it was white with the long utility bed (rare). Very cool truck & camper btw. I have a Travelette long bed, looked for years before I found it. I will do some searching and see if I can help you find this one.

That would be cool to find it. It had had the center of the wheels cut and welded to a wider rim. Wheels were black with silver lips and lug nuts. Only truck Ive ever seen like it. Thanks, Matt
