HRC GNRS 2013 Modified T Build

Discussion in 'The Hokey Ass Message Board' started by Hot Rod Coalition, Jan 7, 2013.

  1. I bought this car as a stripped down bare bones roller in July and wanted to debut it as a budget build at the GNRS. Follow along with us as we try to complete this baby in our spare time. We are only about three weeks out and the car is at the Baskin's interior shop and the chassis is at the Meclec for Chrome and Star Finishes for Powder. Grossi Speed and Fab re-did almost all the fab on this car and has out done himself yet again and Jiminez Customs laid down the paint. This car should be a lot of fun when it is done but it is stressing me out to say the least. Come along for the ride and we'll see you at the GNRS.

Very cool little car... Makes me think even more that I should get a plane ticket and come out to the GNRS in 2-1/2 weeks!

  4. You should do it! I attended last year for the first time and it was well worth it.

  5. Sweet little modified...what manufacturer did the bucket?

I can't tell from the pictures, does it have opening doors, or is it a one piece body?
    Nice proportions and stance.
    Cheers,
    Stewart.

Agreed on the nice proportions and stance. That looks like a nice straight forward little modified. Keep the photos coming.

  8. It does NOT have opening doors. Thanks for the nice compliments...now lets see if we can get it done in time.

  9. Here are some pics from the interior shop. We should have it back soon. We will make it a roller again on Saturday so i'll have more photo's then.

It would the thing to do , I know of two fresh roadsters that are in the finishing stages as I type, one has a blown nailhead and the other is a fuel altered that hasn't been seen for quite a few years.

  12. Getting closer! Thanks Grossi Speed and Fab, Jimenez Customs, and Baskin's! We are going to make it if it to the GNRS is the last thing we do

If you guys need a hand at the show Shane has my number? See ya there?

  18. The entire group and team has been beyond busting their balls to get the project done on time. Shane didn't leave till this morning from his shop and I can't believe how much he busted out. Mike has been painting on this thing solid for the last couple days and the motor and trans turned out great. Baskins here in Fresno did a bang up job on the interior and made it so that my 6'2 frame fits very comfortable into the small bucket. I will post more pics as the progress proceeds. See you all at the GNRS and Sac.

Was your car at GNRS on Saturday? I was hoping to check it out, but never saw it. Maybe I passed it but my brain was so overloaded by that time I didn't see it?
