I have an "older" street rod version of that kit... The parts were molded in that color, but it came with some crappy rear wheels and hollow tires... Plus it came with some lame '80's era decals... Gag!..
Psssst!..... The real one is at the Henry Ford Museum in Dearborn Michigan... That be about 6 miles away from my house...
Yes it's getting whites, they need one more coat yet. Trying to find the right set of wheels-my local hobby shop is out of sombreros. I'm going to try my hand at a tuck n roll type interior.
I probably pass your house everyday going too work... nice job on the build! Let's see the AMT '69 Olds!!!!
Those are pretty cool... I have 4 of the '69 Olds W-30 kits waitin' for me to build them.... What I need is to get the lead out of my ass and build something...
Ever check out grosgrain (sp?) ribbon at a sewing shop? Glued down side by side they look pretty close to T and R upholstery.
Cool kit. Got some engine reference for you.Took some pics when they had opened up engine bays at the museum.Thats one hot cammer! Sorry bout the severe angle.
Yes. Some weeks it's "model sunday" other weeks it's "sunday models" and it doesn't always show up when you search. I'd like to see a weekly sticky like the FAS. Here's a link:http://www.jalopyjournal.com/forum/showthread.php?t=770054
