New guy here from Littleton, CO. Been working the last couple of years on my 1952 Hudson Hornet. It's my daily driver ever since I got it road worthy, even in it's less-than-complete state. I've lurked here for quite some time, figured I'd join up for once for some help and offer any bits of knowledge I can.

Plans? Right now I have to get the valves and rings done on it so I can get it back on the road. After that, have a little bit of rust deal with, then new rubber, then some interior. Have to get some back seats in before the summer, my boys really want to ride in 'Doc' when we head to the Rocky Mountain Street Rod Nationals this year.

Not going to do anything crazy with it. Basically get some paint on it, work out the remaining bugs and drive it. My one and only goal when I first got it was to drive it, regardless. I knew if I blew the thing apart it would never get done and I would just have a garage full of parts to look at. Got it running - got it stopping - and drove the hell out it. Ran good, even with a weak cylinder. Run 80 on the highway straight and true. Finally at the end of the summer it got hard to start so I pulled the head to find horribly burned valves on the weak cylinder.

Pink? Nope, the original french blue, faded, with what's left of a ivory top.

I really want it back on the road, I'm having withdrawals right now...

I believe we all know what FNG stands for. ;)
