  1. I'm finally to the point of putting a windshield in my 50 dodge wayfarer two door sedan.... Where's a good place to get the rubber weatherstripping from... I checked with steele's website and all I can find are the V butted gaskets and I want to keep my center post.... Any other places you guys know of???

try oldmoprarts.com he has a ton of parts for these cars, and a great guy to deal with.

  3. My 54 has been lowered about 6 inches. Had to cut and raise a small section just in front of the diff.

you can get pretty low. move the spring plate to the bottom of the a-arm. drop your uprights and take out a coil up front. steering is the biggest problem. rear is simple. standard bs. blocks and dearched leaves

Here she is. 53 Plymouth Suburban. Sat over 30 years in the desert of AZ. Started right up. Going to leave the pantina finish. Throw a surfboard in it and drive it.

  10. Talk to a rep at Steele Rubbber I've bought 2 in the last 6 months, they have what you need

  11. Yup, those old flatties are hard to kill.

  12. I sold my 52 Belvedere 2 door hard top wagon to a friend. he just joined the HAMB and will surely start some up dates. the build is moving fast and Bob is quite a craftsman, I just gave up my 53 Buick headlight bezels for the project. visuallly dropped the nose 2-3 inches

    Hello everyone,

My F-I--L has a '51 Plymouth that has been in his family since new. I havent seen it. I am told it has 15" tube tires on it but the tubes are bad.Just looking through the forums I can see there are multiple sizes. Does anyone know where I might find a new set of tubes and what info I need to order them? Car is in storage in North Carolina and he's trying to trailer it to FL to pass it on to his nephew so it will remain in the family. I'm just trying to facilitate the process. I can be pm'd here or email works faster at [email protected]

    Many thanks.

Here's a few of my '50 Special Deluxe. So far rewired the whole car, discs on front dual pot master cylinder, T-5, relocated front shocks and cut off a coil, two inch blocks in back. Still running the flattie. Winter projects, rear axle and a new fuel system from tank forward. Ignore my POS cup holder.

I love it - But It's too nice to do custom stuff to. Has any body ever put 55 ply headlights, and taillights on a 54 or 53?

I have seen the taillights added with a part of the 55 quarter to extend the 53-54 length a bit. Looks really good.
