Im here to read the posts and try to get smart. I took in a 54 Chrysler New Yorker with a hemi. It runs fine but the Powerflite trans is missing high gear. Low and reverse is fine but slow shifts into nothing. I dont know about these trans and Im 65 and dont need to drop a big trans but.. may do so if a rebuild is tolerable. May do this if someone knows how to rebuild these. Dont mind a road trip. Thanks from the midwest. Don
Don, This is the intro board. Post your question on the general discussion board for better results. Good luck and welcome from Michigan.
Hello from Bakersfield Calif. These guys may be able to point you to some one to fix that Powerflte http://www.fatsco.net/index.html
I am an older guy and have several cars. Model A; Model T; 2 old corvettes; 54 Chrysler; 70 fiat 500. After years of laying under cars. finally got a lift in the barn and now car life is a little better. on social security but still like to turn wrenches. Car shows and swap meets are my summer vacation. Am now drinking coffee at 7am with other old guys telling tall tales and mostly BS. Its a way of life here in the midwest I guess. Don
Welcome there bigblock67. I can't answer your question, but I reckon you'll get a better response if you repost the question over on the Message Board rather than here on the Introductions Page. Good luck and enjoy your time here. Cheers.
Welcome from Kentucky & Tennessee! What kind of "old" Corvettes? As a friend of mine used to say, "real Corvettes have chrome bumpers". I take it from your handle that at least one of them is a 67 big block car...
I have a 60 that is a driver and am half way restoring a 58. big project.. Yeah my 67 is a driver and a keeper. Thanks Thanks Indy for the howdy. Don
