Oh yeah, the mad painter got his brushes on it before I could tell hin Congrats. Love it man! I remember the first time I saw one of these on the dirt track, a 49 Olds was ruling the local track and a Hudson showed up from Kansa as I remember. It blew the doors off the Olds and lapped it in the feature race. I was an instant fan, it was a twin-H four door model and dead on bad ass. ~sololobo~

The front shoes are wider than the rear. Hard to find. Suggest you have the ones you have relined. There is a Ford shoe that has to be modified to work. The rear shoes are common. Napa is a good source for the rear shoes, hoses and wheel cyl.
    Hope this helps. Hud

  12. Man that Huddy beats a Merc every day of the year, and thats one sweet survivor U scored. If I'd had the sheckles to be deliberate about the vintage tin I've started building, I''d have gone that direction! However I was opportunistic, and took the best cheap tin I could lay hands on, not that I'm complaining... I luv's my 55 F-100 goin old school custom bomb!

i think i got my front shoes from kanter too. most of the other stuff was available locally. hoses i had to get online. i usually rebuild the wheel cyls myself. if you get a chance to get Walt Mordenti's sp? tech tip books he has a great article on setting up and adjusting the brakes like the major brake adjustment in the hudson procedure manual. his books are vey cheap too.
