Does anyone know a place to get air cleaners that fit a 4" Carb on a 1955 Cadillac? Thanks in advance!
Modern Air cleaners are 4.25 IIRC, so nothing new fits. I solved the problem by installing an Edelbrock 1406. Virtually identical to the original Carb. I did have to do some minor fab work for the transmission link to fit. Curly
Chrome aircleaner wise we used to buy plastic adapter rings that mated the carb to the aircleaner They are probably still available through Transdapt and Spectre (sp?) I had to use a pair of them on the little dual quad Corvette carbs I had on my T bucket with the small round air cleaners.
